  It’s a very nice small location, and we did the All You Can Eat Sushi, which was delicious, varied, and truly sushi that you would want to eat. Another bonus is I can take my husband too, even though he’s not a fan of fish, and I can still eat as much as I like.

  The menu tablets were especially cool.
  Highly recommended.

  Can you say sushi coma!?! This place is so good…you just can’t stop ordering and eating! It’s all you can eat, made to order sushi, and it is delicious! They have such a wide variety of both raw and cooked (tempera and seared) sushi. The resto is mall and quaint. They have a bar area and table seating – but the table seating does get booked so it’s wise to make a reservation. The menu ordering is with the use of an iPad so you can see clear photos of every dish and can know exactly what to expect. This is a delight little place and I highly recommend it.

  Great place!

  My boyfriend and I went for sushi – and both chose the all-you-can-eat.. You’re provided with an iPad with pictures and descriptions of everything and then you chose your sushi on a piece of paper. Everything was freshly made (we sad at the sushi bar) and everything came quick.
  The service was good, the atmosphere was nice and the sushi was delicious!

  If you are a family of two adults and two kids, save your money and go to Sticks and sushi instead.

  I tried the ad libitum sushi at Izumi and I am not overwhelmed. Although slightly better than many running sushi places, it’s not worth the money unless you eat massive amounts of sushi and don’t care about the quality.
  Although I tried only two ad libitum sushi places, I have a feeling all are more or less the same concept and quality.
  What’s wrong? I will compare to stick’s and sushi (SAS from now on), which has the reputation as the best, but also most pricey sushi chain in DK ( and no, I have no association to the place except I always return to buying their sushi and sticks )
  1. Each and every piece of sushi at SAS tastes better than any piece of sushi at Izumi. It’s simply made of better materials and better crafted. Even a 5 year old can taste the difference.
  2. Although sushi is ad libitum, water isn’t. It’s redicously overpriced at DKK 55 per can, so 4 persons easily end up paying additional DKK for water alone! If I had known that upfront, I wouldn’t have gone there in the first place, but you can’t see it online. In comparison, you pay approx. DKK 25 for water per person at SAS but here at least the water is ad libitum 🙂
  3. Given 1 & 2, you end up paying about the same for a highly superior product at SAS!
  As I have now tried two different places in two different towns, I will not experiment more with this, and checking a few more places, I noticed that none present their water prices. I didn’t take into consideration beer, wine etc, but even if those prices are comparable with SAS, you might pay slightly more at SAS, but still get a highly superior product.
  So don’t let the ad libitum options fool you and go for the good stuff right away!
  I was tempted to give it only one star because of the rediculous water prices but ended up with 2 as it was at least still better than my running sushi experiences, service was quite good and the kids were actually happy.

  Best sushi ad libitum in Copenhagen! No doubt! Really good quality and all kinds of different sushi.

  Just arrived in Copenhagen and found this little gem. Everything was extremely fresh and well prepared. Try the Danish beer on tap. It paired well with the sushi. It is an all-you-can-eat menu for two hours so come hungry and leave stuffed and happy.

  ***I changed the rating the entire time I wrote this in hopes I could give it a great rating but…***Let me start off with this. We love this place. It’s amazing. BUT and this is a big BUT tonight the service was horrible. We have been here for almost 40 minutes and haven’t received any food. I’m really upset because I take this place over sticks and sushi for quantity towards price. Don’t get me wrong sticks and sushi is the best sushi in all of Denmark if you want classy good service with excellent dishes but an expensive experience. This place is and does have the equivalence to sticks almost but you can’t beat Izumi prices. Still while writing this review the women comes back to ask us what we ordered and if we wanted to order more and that she has told the kitchen to start cooking. 10 mins in to writing this review and some food comes but it’s burning hot to the point we have to poke holes in it so that it can cool off. I think it’s safe to say that my tongue doesn’t feel as good as it did when I came in. At this point a 3 start is a reach. Please don’t upset me next time I do love you Izumi. A free beer would be nice.
